Frequently Asked Questions
What is a Coolie lampshade?
A Coolie lampshade features a gently tapered shape with a wider base and narrower top. This distinctive profile creates an elegant and timeless appearance. Perfect for modern and traditional settings
Are Coolie lampshades suitable for table lamps?
Yes. Coolie lampshades are a popular choice for table lamps because their proportions work well with a wide range of lamp bases
What is the difference between a Coolie and Empire lampshade?
Both styles feature tapered sides. However, Coolie lampshades generally have a shallower slope and wider profile. This creates a softer and often more contemporary appearance.
What fabrics are available for Coolie lampshades?
We offer a wide range of fabrics including brushed cotton, faux silk, velvet as well as customers own. Fabric samples are available on request.
What lining options do you offer?
Choose a lining to suit your interior, from a white PVC for most light to a softer natural cotton or popular metallics for a muted light
Are Coolie lampshades suitable for modern interiors?
Yes. Although Coolie lampshades have traditional roots, they work beautifully in contemporary interiors when paired with modern fabrics and colours.
